Vinyl
The most cost-effective and popular fencing option.
Vinyl fences are strong yet lightweight and come in a variety of styles, colors, and designs.
They are easy to clean and are resistant to rot, insects, and moisture.
Composite
Made from a recycled blend of wood fibers and plastic, composite fences offer a natural wood grain look in multiple colors and styles. They’re highly weather-resistant and require no painting or staining. Posts can be matching composite or aluminum for added strength.
HDPE
Crafted from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this ultra-durable fence style outperforms vinyl and composite in strength and longevity.
With aluminum posts, it’s one of the most reliable and long-lasting fence options available on the market.

Fencing FAQs
HDPE is the most durable, as it is impact-resistant and doesn’t crack or warp under extreme temperatures.
Composite is next in line, offering strength with a wood-like aesthetic.
Vinyl is durable but can crack in very cold temperatures or under heavy impact.
All three are low-maintenance, but vinyl and HDPE require the least upkeep—just occasional cleaning.
Composite fences may need cleaning to prevent mildew buildup in damp areas.
Vinyl may fade slightly in extreme sunlight but has UV inhibitors to slow the process.
Composite fences can fade over time, but higher-end brands have fade-resistant coatings.
HDPE has excellent UV resistance and holds its color the longest.
HDPE is the best for harsh conditions, including high winds, heavy rain, and extreme cold.
Vinyl can become brittle in freezing temperatures but holds up well in moderate climates.
Composite can absorb moisture if not well-sealed, making it less ideal for extremely wet environments.
HDPE is the most environmentally friendly, often made from recycled plastics and is fully recyclable.
Composite fencing also uses recycled wood fibers and plastics.
Vinyl is less eco-friendly because it is made from PVC, which is harder to recycle.
